Feral Garden, Saffron Buddha: Abandoned Dragon

More from the Blue Print of Happiness:

“Saffron Yellow, previously worn by criminals, was chosen by Gautam Buddha as a symbol of his humility and separation from materialist society. It thus signifies renunciation, desirelessness, and humility” I have no explanation for the dragon.

Happy Birthday Mr V

    Secret and Feral garden

  2. I want a dragon. Perhaps a saffron robe is needed to help keep my wants in check. At the end of the video the Buddha seems to have the same eyes as those pictures of the Jesus. The ones with the eyes following you around the room. What an odd place. Happy B to Mr. V.

  3. The camera circling around did give me an unusual sensation of being worshipped.

A happy and worshipped birthday to Mr. V !!!

  4. We’re all fans of Mr. V.

Hope the getaroom has the bestarooms.

  5. I need a saffron Buddha in my garden.

And many happy returns to Mr. V. I’ll bet he can recall what the weather was like on the day he was born.

  6. In what ways, PA, have you worshiped Him in past years??

  7. Why cage and the dragon? Especially when he has already been decapitated? Hmmmm. Very bad karma.

  8. Now I know why it’s called La La Land.

Please send Mr V a Bunspace Treat for me (they’re on Facebook, you can see one on my page) and tell him, “Happy Birthday.!”.
    May you worship him always.

  9. yeah that place is spellbinding….
I only know I got way too hypnotized by that place, and I was not paying attention to my surroundings (signs, etc.), so i was lacking in mindfulness, ignorant of cause&effect & created my own suffering, as the buddhists say… BUT I found a lot of great buddhist resources & info which again makes me suspect this is all just a buddhist teaching exercise and we’re pawns in the universe’s game… you too Mr V

We have returned from embracing materialist society complete with bad road food. We are better for it.

D: I was with Mr V when I photographed these two ceramic dragons. (many more like them along with green roof tiles) It took every bit of saffron thinking on my part, to keep one of them out of my back pack.

Shannon: Mr V, the big Kahunah, Buddha all wrapped up into one; for a day…(thats it).

AH: Mr V is rather amused that he’s morphed into one of my characters. He’ll be most happy to know he has a fan base.

Susan: You could make that happen. I have a Tai Spirit house in my garden with one of my ceramic Buddha heads

CO: be careful where you sniff

Margaret: Mass amounts of construction without acquiring building permits can be blamed for the resulting bad Karma the monastery currently finds itself experiencing. Poor dragon

PJ: Worship might be a little strong. Maybe more like “may you never push him in front of a fast moving vehicle” (Mr V would understand). I’ll give him a carrot

Mary: You’re so funny. I guess thats it in a nutshell.

  11. Brilliant. I’ve never been there but I can guess. It feels like a discovery.

Happy belated bday Mr. V. Hope it was divine.

  12. who is mr V ? I have no idea. By the way thank you very much your all comments on my blog :)

  13. Petrea: I stumbled upon it (translation: found a way around locked gates) four years ago while it was still in operation. The inhabitants just stared at me. Now you enter at your own risk and there are a few. Friend mary and I were busted on my last visit.

Deepak: Mr V is a character in my blog based on a person who is close to me. I was happy to leave comments. Congratulations on your interview.

  14. A very happy, though very belated, birthday to Mr. V.
P.’s birthday was the day before. He did not celebrate and we did not mention it. :/

Deepak is kind of cluelessly funny.
