4 out of 5, that’s an unsettling statistic. I wonder how pride figures into this, I’m sure it’s very, very difficult, coming home.

I’ve heard the statistics between homelessness and veterans is huge (4 out of 5?)

Exiting the market yesterday there was an elderly veteran looking for donations. He gave me this poppy pin.

I went home and did a little research. I often take my “trash treasures” to the Salvation Army, but why not spread my meager wealth? now I’m looking into other options

I hope your nephew is safe, Mr. V, along with the thousands more in all locations around the world. We owe them more than the mediocre care they recieve once they’re back here. Any idea how many Viet Nam veterans are homeless around the country?

Joan and I had a wonderful day celebrating
and honoring living veterans and fallen heroes
at the City of Murrieta’s Veteran’s Day celebration
at the City’s new park facilities.

Money was raised to build a War memorial
in the park. Flags were offered for sale with
the names of Veterans attached to the individual
flags. Over 1200 flags were sold and displayed.

My thanks to Robin and Don for honoring Jared and
me by purchasing a flag in our honor.

I couldn’t have said it any better, CO. PA, tell Mr V and his nephew I said thank you.

That’s a shame about the flags being vandalized. I think someone may have not have thought this through completely, whether you’re for or against, the sacrifice is still worth honoring.

I pray that for all the time, blood, sacrifice, money, etc, that our citizen veterans have contributed, they will be rewarded with a true mission accomplished.
