The arch is in Azuza. The rendering of arches are by architect and authorĀ Robert Venturi. The oranges? they’re everywhere.

Weekend Update: tick…tick…tick… Louisa Bourgeois

lb_blog1

Louisa Bourgeois is currently at MoCA but be forewarned, she’s getting ready to leave the station. Louisa Bourgeois is 97 years old. She’s also French, I don’t hold that against her. She’s best known for her giant spiders. This is her first retrospective in Los Angeles. She lives in New York and every month she holds court for those who seek out her opinion on their work. This kind of generosity is unheard of. Funny, Georgia O’Keeffe only entertained the aspirations of men and yet gets all the press.

I’m leaving the Goddess Lounge and heading home on the Goldline . Enjoy the ambient noise. The park was a place of recent controversy when a public artist planted it in corn.
