Mary on a Monday

Monday evenings are reserved for walks and talks with Mary. This was a stroll we took through Cherry Canyon. Maybe the tower is familiar.  It’s highly visible from a host of surrounding heights.

  1. I love the 360 w/ allergy sneeze/cough.

  2. Except for the Stalag 13 tower, it looks like a lovely peaceful spot, although how could we live without those cell phone towers? I would suggest you keep an eye out for Col. Klink’s ghost.

  3. I think most of our hill top towers are for radio and television. Cell towers we stick in faux palms and pines.
Did Mary ever get over her cold?

  4. Glad we’re not seeing billows of smoke. Was in Sun Valley yesterday (maybe there are nice parts, I’m sure there are, just never seen them) walking on blacktop and sand, with flames and smoke climbing over the nearby hills.

  5. In the future, never allow me to make the choice of what trail to take. Poison ivy be damned. Next Monday?

  6. Patrizzi: you do have an keen eye for the details.

John E.: Yes indeed. We put palms in the mountains and pines in the desert. And it seems everywhere.

AH: Haven’t seen them either. Lost a commission once in SV because I couldn’t seem to act like there was. Saw the smoke through the valley with Mary.

    Mary: yup yup

D.: I appreciate you noticing my germanic influences. The dramatic angles and high contrast harcken back to the work of Fritz Lange and Thea Von Harbou. What’s that you ask? who’s Thea Von Harbou? Just one of the many great omissions of history. Let us right this injustice on my blog NOW! She was the wife of Lange and (unrecognized) collaborator on the film Metropolis. “Genius” seems to want a singular object of affection so throw out the girl (but not here).
