Menduru is a six month old Malayan tiger cub at the San Diego Zoo. The zoo’s involved in conservation efforts, including breeding programs for the Malayan and Sumatran tigers. This photo was taken Tuesday by Ken Bohn. It was sent to me by my sister whose been with the zoo forever. This photo possesses what I refer to as the “BIG CUTE” factor.
While we remain cat people, monkeys hate us. Ask the quiet “Leakey Girl” Dr. Birute’ Galdikas. Nevermind, long story, but here is a brief synopsis on the Leakey girl’s ape observations.
1. The Gorilla will scratch his back with it
2. The Chimpanzee will try to kill you with it
3. The Orangutan will use it to try to pick the lock
Hate zoo’s, love monkeys, are deeply offended by this post? Go yell at my sister. She’s the one who keeps a Russian red squirrel coat in cold storage. Have an issue with that? go yell at Alex Trebek whose one time game show “High Rollers” is where she won “the coat of many deaths”. Much like the monkeys, Mr Trebek disliked my sister..but you better not.
