My First Assignment in Digital Illustration is Due Tonight: Audience Participation Requested
by Pasadena Adjacent

Welcome to art school. The assignment was to create six different images using simple shapes available through the Adobe program Illustrator. Each image must be iconic in appearance (more complicated then a logo, less complicated then the Mona Lisa). Finally, the six images must relate to a theme.
Can you “gentle viewers” guess the theme? Don’t be shy, take a stab at it. Everybody is a winner on my blog

I was going to say Water but then there’s the cat (?) and I want to know what the thing above the bottom blue on the left side is. Is it a hot dog with a bun standing up? Is it a toilet paper holder?
Iknow I know Bath time!
I’m struggling here …is this like Jeopardy? What are things that have an aroma? Are those blue curlys smoke or snails? Aerosol cigarette smoke?; Catfish? I give up.
pa, it looks wunderful xcept 4 one thing: that orange thing with the whiskers.
Hmmmm.
A theme, a theme, must find a theme…
How about:
Things that make you choke… but also with blue escargot and a bird?
Allergies?
Stuff I had in my apartment when I was younger? (That blue one IS a beach towel, right?)
PA, this looks great! The images are nice and clean. I like the cat, but I prefer the real thing. I like urban grit better than cleaned up digital.
I think it has something to do with pollution. I’m sure those aren’t snails but clouds in the sky. I am thinking it’s very pretty colors to deal with a very ugly reality. Similar to the more beautiful the LA sunset, the more smog in the air.
I don’t like my icon. Can you change it to a rabbit or a cat or a chair?
Catfish smells, and no matter how much I spray, my bird still tries to wave away the fumes.
OMG art school all over again? So tell me Palm, how do we upload to your site?
I see your bathroom decor but where are the daisy towels?
I never would have guessed the LA River. Fabulous execution of theme, PA.
